Katie Melua is one of Britain’s most successful recording artists of the millennium selling more than 11 million albums, 1 million concert tickets and receiving 56 platinum awards.

When Georgian-born Katie signed with Mike Batt’s Dramatico Records in September 2002, no-one could have imagined that by the release of her third album, Pictures, she would be the biggest-selling UK-based, female artist in the world that year.

Her first two albums, ‘Call Off The Search’ and ‘Piece By Piece’ both became international number ones, and the story was to continue, after an exciting, record-breaking rollercoaster ride involving several massive world tours and many special moments – like Katie playing on stage for Nelson Mandela with her idols, Queen, or performing for or dining with The Queen at Buckingham Palace.

Her debut single “Closest Thing to Crazy” combined a beautiful soft delivery fused with influences from blues and jazz  and was from her debut album 'Call Off The Search'.

In 2005 she won the Echo Award for Best International Newcomer and 2007 saw her scoop the Echo Award for Best International Rock/Pop Female Artist. 2006 she actually was the UK’s best selling female artist in the UK and Europe’s highest selling European female artist.

Her 2nd album, “Piece by Piece” 2005 went platinum 4 times.  Her 3rd album “Pictures” released 2007.

Her 4th album “ The House” saw Katie working with another acclaimed producer William Orbit. Her 5th album” Secret Symphony” was released 2012 the same year she married world Superbike racer and musician James Toseland. Next came “Ketevan” 2013, and “In Winter” 2016.

Katie’s unique and astonishing voice, with a maturity and richness that has developed over the last decade, narrates tales of love and life.
