Olly started his music career on 2009’s The X Factor, where he finished runner up and went on to sign a joint record deal with mentor Simon Cowell and Epic Records.

His self-titled debut album was released in November 2010, entering at No.2 behind Take That and reaching double platinum status. Featuring ‘Please Don’t Let Me Go’, ‘Thinking Of Me’, ‘Heart On My Sleeve’ and ‘Busy’, it was the biggest selling album of 2010 by a debut artist.

His follow up album ‘In Case You Didn’t Know’ was released a year later, shooting straight to the No.1 spot, and has now sold over a million copies in the UK alone. The album includes No.1 singles ‘Heart Skips A Beat’ featuring Rizzle Kicks and ‘Dance With Me Tonight’.

Olly’s third album ‘Right Place Right Time’ shot straight to the No.1 spot, making him the fastest selling male artist of 2012. The album features his fourth No.1 single ‘Troublemaker’ featuring Flo Rida and subsequent singles ‘Army of Two,’ ‘Dear Darlin’ and ‘Right Place Right Time.’ The album also took him Stateside, with ‘Troublemaker’ going on to sell over 1.4 million singles.

A Special Edition version of Olly’s ‘Right Place Right Time’ album, including seven bonus tracks as well as his 2013 tour DVD ‘Olly Murs: Live At The O2 Arena’, was released at Christmas 2013, taking the album 4x platinum.

Olly’s first love is performing, and he has enjoyed touring each album extensively. In June 2013, he joined Robbie Williams on his ‘Take The Crown’ European stadium tour, following his own headline arena tour. Olly also supported One Direction in both America and Japan.

In between recording and performing, he also co-presented The X Factor’s spin off show The Xtra Factor with Caroline Flack for two years running, as well as presenting The X Factor in 2015.

Olly’s 5th album ’24 HRS’ was released in November 2016 and shot straight to the No.1 spot, achieving platinum sales with the help of singles ‘You Don’t Know Love’ and ‘Grow Up.’ He completed two very successful tours in the UK & Ireland across 2017 with over 600,000 tickets sold.

Olly joined The Voice UK panel  alongside Will.i.am, Sir Tom Jones and Jennifer Hudson as the fourth coach on ITV. He has also started writing and recording his 6th studio album.
